The Deal: How to Maximize Savings
Cathay Pacific’s Black Friday Sale structure is two-tiered. First, there are the published sale fares available to the general public. Second, there is an exclusive discount code for logged-in members.
1. The Fare Sale (From $605)
Base fares have been slashed on Economy routes from the US to Hong Kong, Mainland China, Southeast Asia, and Australia.
- Eligible Origins: Boston (BOS), Chicago (ORD), Dallas Fort Worth (DFW), Los Angeles (LAX), New York (JFK), San Francisco (SFO), and Seattle (SEA).
- Note: Seattle service begins operations on March 30, 2026.
2. The Member Discount ($50 Off)
If you are a Cathay member (free to join), you can take an additional $50 USD off the sale price.

The Free Stopover Bonus
In our opinion, the free stopover option adds significant value to this year’s holiday offer from Cathay. While outbound stopovers are not allowed, inbound stopovers in Hong Kong are permitted free of charge.
- This allows you to visit a destination like Thailand or Japan, then stop in Hong Kong for a few days on your way home without increasing your airfare cost.
- Important: The
BFUS50discount code cannot be applied to multi-city/stopover bookings. You have to choose between the extra $50 off or the free stopover.
