Members of the Jet Airways JetPrivilege frequent flyer program can earn miles for flights on Emirates Airline. Emirates features world-class, award-winning service and cuisine and flies to more than 130 destinations worldwide from its hub in Dubai.
Emirates flights between India and Dubai are not eligible to earn JPMiles.
In order for Emirates flights to be eligible to earn JetPrivilege miles (JPMiles), they must be marketed and operated by Emirates Airlines. Flights purchased from Emirates.com that have the Emirates logo and begin with the letters “EK” meet these criteria.
Take care when purchasing Emirates flights from online travel agencies (OTA’s) like Orbitz or Expedia because these flights do not always meet the criteria. In addition, it’s sometimes difficult to tell in which fare class a flight ticket from an OTA is issued, which is important if you’re concerned about the number of Jet Privilege miles you’re earning.
If purchasing tickets from a travel agent, make sure to verify that the ticket you are purchasing has been issued in the desired fare class as shown below.
Emirates Fare Classes and Jet Airways Mileage Earning Ratios
Emirates flights earn Jet Airways miles according to the following ratios:
First class fare classes (F, A, P) earn 100% of actual miles flown with a 50% class of service bonus.
Business class fare classes (J, C, I ,O) earn 100% of actual miles flown with a 25% class of service bonus.
Economy class fare classes (Y, E, W, M) earn 100% of actual miles flown.
Economy class fare classes (R, X, B, K, L, T, V, H, G, Q, U) earn 50% of actual miles flown.
These are the only Emirates fare classes eligible to earn Jet Airways miles; other fare classes will not earn miles.
How to Book an Emirates Flight in the Desired Fare Class
- Book your flights on Emirates.com. This will allow you to select flights that are marketed and operated by Emirates. A travel agent can also book you into the fare class of your choice. Do not use online travel agencies like Orbitz or Expedia as the ticket may not be issued in a mileage-earning fare class.
- Look for flights that show the Emirates tail livery (the UAE flag, as in the image above) and begin with the letters "EK".
- Use this guide to Emirates fare classes to select the fare type (Saver, Flex, etc.) that corresponds to the fare class and your desired mileage earning ratio.
- Include your Jet Airways JetPrivilege number when making the reservation.
