Flight hacking

Flight hacking

Flight hacking is a term that refers to the use of techniques that can save substantial amounts of money on flight purchases.  Flight hacking does not refer to “hacking” of airline or travel agency websites or databases; rather, it refers to the use of specialized knowledge about airlines and their policies, flight routes, frequent flyer program rules, and the like to secure prices that are not immediately available to the general public.

Flight hacking Includes strategies such as hidden city fares, fuel dumping, mileage running, error fares, open jaw tickets, as well as dozens, if not hundreds of similar techniques. Note that while these techniques are legal, some do violate airlines’ conditions of carriage or frequent flyer program rules and should therefore be used with caution.
