This 2x points offer ends soon.
Don’t miss it!
Earn double IHG One Rewards points on stays though the end of March 2026. You don’t start earning the bonus points until your 2nd stay, so if you plan to take advantage of this promotion, you don’t have much time left.
Participating Brands
You can earn double points at the vast majority of IHG’s portfolio, including:
- Luxury & Lifestyle: InterContinental, Kimpton, Hotel Indigo, Vignette Collection.
- Premium: Crowne Plaza, HUALUXE, Even Hotels, Voco.
- Essentials: Holiday Inn, Holiday Inn Express, Garner.
- Suites: Staybridge Suites, Candlewood Suites, Atwell Suites.
The Special Cases
There are two specific brands mentioned in the terms that have slightly different rules:
- Six Senses Hotels Resorts Spas: You can earn points here, but keep in mind that other IHG One Rewards benefits (like room upgrades or late checkout) might not be available depending on the specific property. Also, a handful of Six Senses locations do not participate in the rewards program at all.
- Iberostar Beachfront Resorts: This is a newer addition to the IHG family. You can earn the 2X points at participating Iberostar locations, with the notable exception of any properties located in Cuba, which are excluded from the promotion entirely.
To make sure your points actually post, keep these rules in mind:
- Registration is required: You can sign up here anytime between now and March 31.
- Direct bookings only: Stays booked through sites like Expedia or Booking.com won’t count.
- Minimum spend: Your rate must be a “Qualifying Rate” and total more than $30 per night.
- Paid stays only: Reward Nights or Points & Cash stays don’t qualify as your second stay or for the bonus points.
Pro Tip
Since the deal requires a $30 minimum spend per night, this is rarely an issue in the US or Europe. However, if you’re traveling through parts of Southeast Asia or South America where rates can be exceptionally low, double-check that your base room rate (before taxes) hits that $30 mark so you don’t miss out on the bonus.
What counts as a Qualifying Rate?
Most rates you see on the IHG website or app are qualifying. These include:
- Best Flexible Rates: Standard rates that allow for cancellation.
- Member Rates: Discounted rates exclusive to IHG One Rewards members.
- Advanced Purchase Rates: Non-refundable rates paid upfront.
- Standard Business and Leisure Rates: Typical corporate or vacation rates.
What “2X” Really Means
IHG calculates the bonus based on your base points (usually 10 points per $1 spent). While you still get your Elite status bonuses (like the extra points for Platinum or Diamond members), those extra percentages aren’t doubled—only the base.
For a $200 night, you’d typically earn 2,000 base points. With this promotion, you’ll net an extra 2,000 bonus points, giving you a total of 4,000 points before your Elite bonuses are even added. It’s a fast way to refuel your account for a summer redemption.
