Fare basis code

Fare basis code

A fare basis code is a series of 1-8 alphanumeric characters that represent the fare rules and restrictions for a particular fare class. The fare basis code shows the fare class code (the first letter in the fare basis code), and tells gate agents and travel agents things like whether or not the ticket is one-way or round-trip, has a minimum or maximum stay, or is refundable.
